The theme of the battle pass is loud in both style and sound. Bright colours with a musical undertone for an explosive season in the new Team Deathmatch gamemode.
Crypto Technocrat 4/5
In this illuminati-esque style skin, Crypto is dressed up in his first legendary battle pass skin. The completely covered head is new for him and ties in with his want of anonymity. The vibrant colours over the snazzy suit are trendy, new and somewhat futuristic. It isn’t really my taste and feels a little more suited to Fortnite in it’s style, but not bad for any battle pass buyers that lack a skin for the Recon Hero, free for the first week of the season.
Valkyrie Heartbeat Harmonizer 3/5
Sometimes, I forget that Valkyrie is one of the younger legends who came into the games rather naively in the name of her father. This game shows an innocence in the bright colours, heart motifs and pink shades across the armour. She’s not totally innocent with that venomous makeup and won’t listen to anyone else with her moody headphones on. The soundboard on her chest maintains the theme of the battle pass playing her “sick beats” in time with the gunfire. Unfortunately it feels a little similar to her other skins with the purples and punk attitude. However, as a stand alone, it’s a solid pick up and definitely worth levelling for.
Epic Skins
Bloodhound Night Raver 3/5
Considering Bloodhound has so many battle pass recolours, this one really holds up. The bright colours really pop on the dark background and the moving volume bars add another dimension.
Mirage Bamboogie 2/5
So ugly it’s… nice? This is a mishmash of clashing colours that come together for a noisy skin. And yet, it still feels like something he would pick out. It’s memorable and there are some nice parts to it. Conflicting but cool?
Rampart Amped Up Armorer 2/5
Similarly to Mirage, another loud skin full of bright colours that was probably styled in the same ship as himself. It’s eye-catching but aggressively so and the juxtapositioning of the green and purple can be a little jarring. Jarring but jolly?
Overall, an ok battle pass. For younger players this may be more appealing but they’re certainly not blending in with bright purples against the cracked surfaces of Broken Moon!
