Skinsational Apex Legends Hunted Battle Pass

The skins this season centre around a safari theme. They’re reminiscent of the season 5 “Lost Treasures” collection event that centred around explorers and relics with mainly cream and gold colour palettes. Will they outshine those past skins or just be beige in comparison?

Wraith 4/5

Yet another Wraith skin! Even though they’re regular, they’re rarely repetitive. This is a really strong skin for the legend giving professional explorer from the Victorian era. It’s perfectly put together with the emerald coat, tie underneath and sheep wool lining to protect her from harsh weather. More detail is on the top half of the skin so that it doesn’t look gaudy or swallowing her up which works well. Also, the simple change in hair colour brightens her up for a sunny expedition. Though it’s a familiar theme, it’s fresh and new for her giving a new dimension for the interdimensional legend.

Caustic 3/5

In contrast, it’s been a while since Caustic had a battle pass skin so nice to see him with one here. One of his more handsome and human skins with the bald head, simple mask and practical clothing. The coat and boots are predictable for the theme but there’s some nice detail on the orange lining of the coat and fur on the fringe. The shaved head and scar above the eye show his deadly personality is still there, even if it’s less threatening than some of his other skins. Overall the skin doesn’t stink but it’s not much of a gas either.

Horizon 2/5

A totally fine and inoffensive look. The zebra print is nice and not overused with lots of brown tones for camouflage. Blonde suits her and the blue goggles break up the colour palette a little.

Bangalore 2/5

The survivor idea is tried and tested on Bangalore and looks nice enough here. The gingham is tomboyish and the giraffe print is understated. The scar over the eyes allude to a badass backstory. The lack of change to the hairstyle works for the theme.

Vantage 2/5

A safe first skin for Vantage. Lots of ideas that relate her to a bird in the feathers, claw boots and knee pads that work for her sniper loadoat. The chest plate and number alude to something unknown which is intriguing.

Though the changes are controversial, the skins are certainly not. They’re safe on a familiar theme but done fairly well.
